Blowtorch Series:

Sense Of Measure

Digital video, 2min 20sec.

A video selected for my M.A. Exhibiton.

Sense Of Measure is a play on words and media about the sense of measuring an experience of time. My video and sculpture practice is concerned with how we can negotiate life through a basic understanding of the things that surround us.

We Destroy The Things We Love

Digital video, 1min 30sec. A video about the danger of anticipation.

Another video from the Blowtorch Series:

Earlier work in the M.A. research phase:

Drawing Time: Crate Space, Margate

Documentation excerpt of a 2.5 hour performance by Jihun Baek – more information on this piece is available under the performance section of this page.

Line Draws A Blank

Digital video, 2min, no audio.

If duration is a continuous movement of differentiation (Bergson) then is there a way to understand or visualise its pattern? Line Draws A Blank is about the possibility of two states crossing each other, to think of time as layers of a twisting and turning progression.

Waiting in vain

Digital video, 45sec, looped, no audio.

A video about the vanity of a moment.
